Route No. 11 - Vercorin-Grimentz

This tour takes you from the village of Vercorin to the village of Grimentz, or in the opposite direction.

This hike can be started from Vercorin or from Grimentz. From the center of Grimentz, take the road that leads to Les Ziettes via Les Mayens de Pinsec. The panoramic view of the valley from there is magnificent. To do this hike from Vercorin, start from the village center, follow the Bisse trail that leads to the upper part of the village, then on to Les Ziettes, where you’ll join the route. The return trip follows the same path.

Variation 1

You can do part of the route as a loop: From Grimentz, at a place called Les Ziettes, hike uphill for a good half-hour toward the Tracuit mountain pasture, then descend via the road, passing by the “Sigeroulaz” gondola station, to the village of Vercorin. From Vercorin, hike up to the Tracuit mountain pasture via the “Sigeroulaz” cable cars, descend toward Les Ziettes, and continue on to Grimentz.

From Vercorin: top of the village - Route du Bisse - Les Ziettes - Mayens de Pinsec - Grimentz, then return via the same route.
