On this bike ride, you'll discover the famous Weisshorn Hotel above St-Luc and enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire valley.

This 25-kilometer mountain bike trail takes you to the legendary Weisshorn Hotel and the famous Planets Trail. Leave your mark here. The distances between the celestial bodies correspond to their actual proportions. Every meter you ride is equivalent to one million kilometers. The sun and the nine planets accompany you along the entire route. This trail is well worth the effort just for the panoramic views of the Val d’Anniviers and the Rhône Valley. The route can be shortened by taking the St-Luc–Tignousa funicular.

St. Luke This trail begins in the sunny village of St-Luc at an elevation of 1,600 meters. During the first leg, you’ll hike through the wooded areas of the Forêt du Rochet and the Forêt des Teppes along a wide forest trail. You’ll then reach Tignousa. The hike can be significantly shortened by taking the funicular. Very close to the mountain station is the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, which regularly offers solar observations and astronomical experiments. Follow the Planets Trail. Here, the solar system has been recreated on a small scale. You are now approaching your destination. The final few meters before the legendary Hotel Weisshorn are breathtakingly beautiful and offer a commanding view of the entire Val d’Anniviers. After a well-deserved break and a tour of this historic hotel dating back to 1882, you’ll return along the same path to Chiesso. A lovely descent takes you through Copaté to St-Luc. St. Luke
