Trail No. 8 - Avoin

This loop starting from Grimentz is ideal for those who want to try out singletrack trails.

From downtown Grimentz, take the road that climbs to Moiry. At the second bend, continue straight ahead toward the Avoin mountain pasture and pass under the gondola lifts. At a place called “Chèquett,” the first part of the descent begins on a singletrack and joins a forest road heading up toward the Orzival mountain pasture. Follow this road for 500 meters, then turn right onto the second, longer section of the descent, winding your way between clearings and the forest. Finally, rejoin the forest road that leads back to Grimentz.
