5. Zinal - Marmotte Hiking Trail

Directions: From the village of Zinal, head toward the Marmotte snack bar—a climb of about 1,000 meters in elevation.

This hike, with nearly 1,000 meters of elevation gain, is the best way to reach the Grimentz-Zinal ski area from the village of Zinal. This beautiful ascent, offering magnificent views of the stunning 4,000-meter peaks of the Couronne Impériale, will take you to the La Marmotte snack bar. Part of the route runs close to the ski area. Please be careful!
