Choltal – Tour 922 The Choltal cycle tour starts from Emmetten village and heads towards Stockhütte via Ischenstrasse. Or perhaps you’d prefer to take it easy for a change? In that case, take the Emmetten–Stockhütte gondola lift and set off directly from the Stockhütte mountain station. A gravel track then takes you across moorland and alpine meadows through a protected raised bog. Once you reach the Egghütte, the most challenging part of the tour awaits you: your technical riding skills will be put to the test in the rustic Choltal valley. Once you reach the Choltalstrasse, it’s just a few minutes’ ride down the valley back to Emmetten. Please note: There is oncoming traffic on this road, which is very narrow in places. And here’s a little tip: plan a picnic break beside the Choltalbach stream – it doesn’t get much more relaxing than that. Route: Emmetten – Stockhütte – Nätschegg – Choltal – Emmetten
