The climbing area Tolen above Leukerbad offers 23 routes on compact rock, nestled in a quiet, sunny forest clearing. With 12 routes up to max. 6b ...
Quietly located at 1,600 m above sea level, surrounded by larches and with a wide view over the valley, the Tolen area offers a relaxed, nature-close climbing atmosphere – far from the hustle and bustle.
The routes are well protected and clearly arranged. Particularly attractive: the sector with the beginner and youth routes is on slightly inclined terrain and ideal for climbing beginners or supervised groups. The routes in the main sector challenge with grip technique, small overhangs, and beautiful slab moves – all in the range from 3a up to max. 6b.
A helmet is mandatory because there can be loose rock above the area. Shade and sunny spots alternate – and a picnic break on the meadow at the foot of the wall perfectly rounds off the climbing day.
