F3 Tour du Wildhorn Stage 3: Iffigenalp - Cabane des Audannes

With the Tour du Wildhorn hikers discover a wonderful long-distance hike over four stages around the Wildhorn.

You climb steep switchbacks and a spectacular traverse up to the Stieräläger. The path is wide and pleasant to walk on, and soon you reach the Rawil Pass height. Then continue your way over the Plan des Roses to the small nameless lake, you are now in the area of the French-speaking community of Ayent. Further you hike over narrow and well-marked paths over some hills and hollows. Then follows the path over karst fields (strong karst erosion), where the trail markings with pink dots become more visible. Soon it climbs up to the Kaltwasser Pass (Col des Eaux Froides) where you can already see the hut! Then follows the descent to Lac des Audannes and the last 40 meters up to the hut.
