Description

From Jorasse, follow the track leading to the Petit Pré pasture (1,998 m). The pleasant ascent reaches the Grand Pré d'Euloi. The track leads you through grazing pastures and stretches of loose stone before reaching the Fénestral. At the top of the pass, one's gaze is drawn Southwest over the imposing Mont-Blanc massif. The trail becomes more mountain-like: the way-markers switch from white-red-white to white-blue-white and then heads up to the ridge that leads to the Grand-Cor berm, where the trail traverses between rocks and scree. The way-markers are more frequent, and the slope becomes steeper. You need the help of your hands to cross two rocky outcrops between the Grand-Cor and the Dent de Morcles. You then climb over a few stone slabs and reach the summit at last. Here, a breathtaking 360° panorama is the hiker’s reward. The Muverans massif dominates in all its majesty. Further down, at 2,700m, the Martinets glacier clings to the rocks: it survives thanks to its northern exposure. To the West, the blue-green waters of Lake Geneva shimmer like a small inland sea. Return by the same path. Allow 6h30 to complete the round trip.
