This family hike, which offers an unobstructed view of the entire massif, will delight young and old alike.
To reach the start of this hike you can take the cogwheel train from Villars to Bretaye. On arrival, the view of the Dents du Midi and the Mont Blanc will surprise you.
A few hundred metres below the train's arrival, you take the direction of Ensex and the Col de la Croix. A pleasant route awaits you on a wide forest path to start with. You reach the charming hamlet of Ensex where the few authentic chalets inspire peace and quiet. You continue your walk along a path that leads you to the Col de la Croix. Geological curiosities, the gypsum pyramids are found at this pass.
You can return on the same path or during the summer with the Villars-Les Diablerets bus line (2 to 3 times a day).
