Les Chaux - Taveyanne - Coufin - Alpage du Col de la Croix - Tréchadèze - Les Diablerets
At the start of this hike, you take the cable car that links Barboleuse to Les Chaux. Then, you head towards the hamlet of Taveyanne and then descend towards Coufin. Then follow the path that goes up to the Alpage du Col de la Croix. At the Col de la Croix mountain pasture, you can have breakfast, buy some farm produce or just take a break at the refreshment bar. On the way down from the Col de la Croix mountain pasture, you take the direction of Les Diablerets via Tréchadèze. You can make a diversion to the Col de la Croix (20 minutes) to admire the gypsum pyramids, a geological feature of the region. The view from this point is panoramic!

Transport

Access - Access to Barboleuse by train from Villars, Gryon or Bex. - Access to "Les Chaux" by cablecar from July to October or by bus in June Recommendations - Stay on the marked paths - Make sure you know your route and the weather conditions - Respect flora and fauna - Take your rubbish home with you - Respect private property - Close all gates behind you - Keep dogs on leads Equipment - a good pair of hiking boots for good grip - Weather-appropriate clothing. Conditions change rapidly in the mountains, so bring a waterproof jacket and warm clothing. - A rucksack suited to the length of the hike and the amount of equipment. - Sun protection: sunglasses, high factor sun cream, cap or hat. - A map (or GPS) - A first-aid kit - Sufficient water (at least 1 litre per person) and food.
