Description

A circular hike off the beaten track with breathtaking views of the village of Leukerbad and the Dala valley. The narrow Geissweg below the ...

The Geissweg offers a unique natural experience and leads spectacularly from the Sportarena in Leukerbad via Birchen back to Leukerbad. The cliff-cut high path is narrow and can be very slippery when wet. It runs below the mighty rock walls of the Daubenhorn and is lined with waterfalls and up to eight wild streams – depending on weather and snowmelt. Due to snow remnants in the avalanche cones, hiking in spring is not recommended. The path is not particularly strenuous but requires sure-footedness and good footwear.
