This loop hike begins and ends at the upper station of the Leysin – Tête d’Aï chairlift, providing direct access to altitude and sweeping panoramic views over the Vaud Alps. The trail takes you across a terrain of rocky blocks, where progress sometimes requires the use of your hands, in a wild and mineral-rich environment. Spectacular viewpoints are present throughout the route, with remarkable perspectives on the iconic Tour d’Aï and Tour de Mayen, which dominate the landscape. This demanding route crosses technical and steep terrain, suitable only for experienced hikers. It also offers rewarding encounters with alpine wildlife: you may spot majestic griffon vultures soaring above the cliffs, as well as marmots in quieter, sun-exposed areas.
