Description

If you fancy a thrilling descent, then the moderately difficult Lufu Trail is just the thing for you. From the top station of the Raron-Eischoll cable car, the trail takes you rapidly downhill towards the valley. You can reach the trail easily and conveniently by cable car. The cable car usually runs every 30 minutes or when it is full. If there isn’t room for everyone, it will leave again straight away. From Turtig, the starting point of the route in Eischoll is easily reached by cable car. The freeride fun of the Lufu Trail begins right at the cable car’s top station. The Lufu Trail is designed as a single track and, whilst it features a few technically challenging sections, it is still a smooth ride for experienced cyclists. It is rated as medium to difficult and follows a winding route all the way down into the valley. The route takes riders along both disused footpaths and newly constructed sections, offering plenty of variety and a playful experience. The trail remains in its natural state for long stretches, but is significantly spiced up by various features such as waves, dips, banked bends and small jumps. Once you’ve reached Turtig down in the valley, most cyclists have just one thing on their minds: do it again! Nothing could be simpler: after just an eight-minute cable car ride, you’re back up at the start in Eischoll.
