The route starts at the upper roundabout on Melcherbodenstrasse in Leukerbad. From there, the trail leads gently uphill through the winter larch forest. The terrain is pleasant to walk and also suitable for snowshoers with little experience.
At Melcherboden, the highest point of the route, a beautiful view opens over Leukerbad and the surrounding mountains. After a short rest, it continues along a gently descending path towards Restaurant Buljes, which offers a cozy stop. From there, the trail leads directly back to the village.
