The mountain hiking trail starts in Saas-Almagell at the starting point of the forest road to Saas-Fee and leads directly up to the left. The mostly steep ascent leads through the Brunnenwald, the Rufibodma, and after a small zigzag, joins one of the paths directly below the Berghaus Plattjen and above the Furggje area. Past this beautiful viewpoint, you reach the mountain house in a few steps. After a rest, follow the path through the larch forest down to Saas-Fee.
Transport
The Saastal valley is easily and conveniently accessible by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad. From the north, you reach us via Bern through the Lötschberg car transport. From the east, you come via the Furka Pass or the Furka car transport. From the south, we are reachable via the Simplon Pass or Simplon car transport, and from the west, you drive via Lausanne along the Rhône valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee. From Visp, drive south towards Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout near Stalden, take the second exit to Saas-Fee. In Saas-Grund, turn left after the church towards Saas-Almagell.
