This hiking trail runs through the open larch forest and offers a slightly different mountain panorama of the Saastal. Next to the Dom, the view ...
On this route, the hiker discovers the peaceful area between Furggstalden and Heidbodmen. From the chairlift station, the path leads over the meadows of Furggstalden to Chapf and through the larch forest to the stone alpine huts of Alpe Furggu. Furggu is located at the valley entrance of Furggtälli. The centuries-old mule and pilgrimage trail over the Antrona Pass to Italy runs through Furggtälli.
From Furggu, the path climbs through the larch forest up to the tree line. It passes by the Furggu ski lift, and the axis of the Heidbodmen chairlift is crossed several times. Above the tree line, the view opens up to the mountains. To the south, the 4,000-meter peaks of the Monte Rosa massif shine, and to the north, the view extends to the mighty mountains of the Mischabel range. In the distance, the mountains around Leukerbad are also visible.
