Oudiou - N°10

Trail going down into La Comballaz before climbing up through the forest as far as Oudiou. From there you get an exceptional view over the Ormonts valley and the Mont-Blanc.

The walk starts in the lower village and to get there you need to take the road behind the dairy shop. The track then goes straight ahead towards La Comballaz. Once you reach the road to Voëttes follow it beyond the bridge and then climb up until you find the snow-covered pathway. From there the ascent into the forest begins. The uphill route crisscrosses the downhill track at several junctures. Be careful to follow the signs. Once you get to Oudiou, take a moment to admire the stunning view, especially that of the Mont-Blanc, before gong back down using the same path until you get to the first intersection. To avoid retracing your steps, be sure to take the return track on this downhill part. Once back on the Voëttes road the return route is exactly the same as the one you took on the way out. Retrace your steps until you get back to the village.
