The snowshoe hike starts at the ski lift in Lauenen and leads over the ski slope and then cross-country to the edge of the forest. From here the path runs along the forest road to the mountain station of the ski lift. Then follows the ascent through picturesque forest sections up to the Chrinen Pass at 1658 m.a.s.l. On the Chrinen Pass you can enjoy a wonderful view of the snowy mountain panorama. After the ascent, the marked path leads downhill through enchanting landscapes to Gsteig.
Transport
The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Greyerzerland. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a fast and comfortable arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the MOB railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines.
