Description

The ultimate snowshoe secret tip that reveals the surroundings of Saas-Fee from a new perspective. The Sengg Trail leads from the village part ...
At the northern end of the village near Wildi, the snowshoe trail branches off to the left of the prepared path and follows a gently ascending trail to the Bärufalla. At Bärufalla, the view opens up to the mountain panorama of Fletschhorn, Lagginhorn, and Weissmies as well as towards Saas-Almagell and Saas-Grund. At the large curve, the path branches off to the left into the snow-covered larch forest. With some luck, you might see one or another forest inhabitant. In the middle of the winter forest, a clearing opens up, the "Unner Senggbodu." From there, the path zigzags through the forest down until the open terrain of the hamlet Sengg becomes visible. In the original hamlet, a magnificent view opens down to Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell as well as to the Saas mountain world. Then continue towards Saas-Fee. From the Waldhotel Fletschhorn, the route leads back over the prepared path to the starting point.
