Senggiweid–Hintere Nydegg–Nydeggwald–Senggiweid

With a bit of luck, you might spot a colony of ibex through a telescope on the way. There is reason to be happy: the ascent is rewarded with a fantastic view of the Diemtigtal valley. The marked snowshoe tour at the end of the Diemtigtal Nature Park valley takes you through the home of the Grimmimutz forest man to the wildlife observation station. Here, with a bit of luck, you can spot the ibex colony on the opposite side of the mountain with the permanently installed telescope. Pausing to enjoy the view of the valley is almost a must on the Nidegghang - do you know the surrounding peaks of the Diemtigtal? If you wish, you can tackle the ascent to the Grimmialp chairlift mountain station from Nidegg (1 km). However, the trail is not marked here and caution is advised when crossing slopes.
