Description
The Suonen circular route takes you along the old water channels, the "Suonen", once around the village of Saas-Fee.
The Suonen circular route connects the two Suonen "Unnerwasser" and "Bodmerwasser" into a beautiful hike around Saas-Fee. Along the newly renovated Suone Unnerwasser, there are many exciting pieces of information about the Suonen in Valais and also several resting places. Passing marmots, you go to the old waterwheel of Saas-Fee. After the waterwheel, the Bodmerwasser leads past the Kneipp facility in Bifig, over the tracks of the Feeblitz, and through the adventure forest rope park back to the starting point.
Alongside the Suone and water, alpine nature and the view of the mighty four-thousanders and the village of Saas-Fee are constant companions on this circular hike.
Transport
The Saastal is easy and convenient to reach by car from all directions, whether from Switzerland or abroad. From the north, you reach us via Bern through the Lötschberg car shuttle. From the east, via the Furka Pass or the Furka car shuttle. From the south, via the Simplon Pass or the Simplon car shuttle, and from the west, drive via Lausanne along the Rhone valley to Visp and from there towards Saas-Fee. From Visp, drive south towards Saas-Fee. At the "Killerhof" roundabout near Stalden, take the second exit towards Saas-Fee. In Saas-Grund, turn right after the church towards Saas-Fee.
