The Museum Path

A leisurely walk between Anzère and Ayent. The Chemin du Musée follows sections of the Bisse de Sion, the Bisse d’Ayent and the Bitaillaz along a unique route. It is marked with special ‘Chemin du Musée’ signposts and features information boards that will help you learn more about the bisses. There are several routes to choose from, depending on how much time you have and how strenuous a walk you’d like. You can start the walk at the following points: Post office stop: Anzère, cable car station. Route: Bisse de Sion–Bisse d’Ayent–Bitailla–Saxonne–Botyre, 13 km, 3 hours 30 minutes. Post office stop: Ayent, Bisse d’Ayent. Route: Bisse d’Ayent–Bitailla–Saxonne–Botyre, 5.5 km, 2 hours 20 minutes. Post office stop: Arbaz Café du Lac. Route: Bitailla–Saxonne–Botyre, 3.5 km, 1 hour 10 minutes.
