The Thermal Springs Route in Leukerbad offers a unique opportunity to discover the history, geology, and significance of the thermal waters in the region. Over about 2.5 km, the path leads through the village and along the Dalaschlucht gorge. Nine informative panels explain the formation of the springs, their use since Roman times, as well as their medical and economic aspects. A special highlight is the Thermal Springs Footbridge, an impressive steel structure spanning about 600 meters through the Dalaschlucht. Here visitors can experience the thermal water up close – even drawing water directly from a spring with a small pulley. A 21-meter long suspension bridge and an impressive 35-meter-high waterfall complete the experience.
