Tour de Famelon

Sports hike starting from Les Fers. Climb through a scree to Col de Famelon, with a view of the Truex "lapiaries". Climb to the top of the sphinx-shaped tower, with a 360 ° view.

The hike starts from the restaurant des Fers, accessible by car. There is of course the possibility of leaving on foot from Leysin, count at this time about 1h30 to reach Les Fers. From Les Fers, the ascent is made through a scree towards the Famelon tower. You will gradually approach "the sphynx", becoming more and more impressive as you climb. After 40 minutes, at the intersection, continue towards the Famelon tower and 30 minutes later, you will reach the Col de Famelon. You can then admire the beautiful geological formations and with a little luck, see some chamois. An additional 15 minutes of effort will take you to the top of Famelon Tower, where you will be rewarded with the view.
