Tour de la Seya

Take the Jorasse chairlift, under the watchful eye of the Muverans and the Dent Favre, to reach the start of the Tour. A trail meanders through the larch trees toward the Petit Pré d'Euloi. The slope becomes steeper and delights you with its rich variety of flora all the way up to the towering Seya cross, the highest point of the hike, at 2182 m. Ovronnaz lies below, and further down Leytron and the plain of the Rhône. A breathtaking 360° panoramic view offers thirty-five "4,000-metre peaks", from the Finsteraarhorn to the Mont-Blanc, with its glittering snow-capped dome. Grab your binoculars and cameras! If you choose the shorter hike, head back along the same path to Jorasse. The more challenging and longer trail continues due South along open terrain. It runs along the ridge that leads to Grand'Garde. From this incredible promontory, the gaze never stops wandering from one peak to another or following the course of the Rhône, attempting to recognise towns and villages. A signposted path leads through the mountain pastures of Quieu and Odonne and back to Ovronnaz. Alternative route Anyone wishing to shorten the hike slightly, should return from La Gouille by the direct route across the Quieu mountain pasture, between La Seya and Grand'Garde.
