The second stage of the Valais Sun Trail starts in Leukerbad. Discover the historic Albinen ladders and enjoy the sun-drenched route to Gampel.
The Valais Sun Trail measures 75 kilometers: The long-distance hike spoils mountain hikers in four stages on the sunny side of the Valais. The second stage starts directly in Leukerbad. From here, the approximately 23-kilometer-long hiking trail leads over the Albinen ladders to the mountain village of Albinen. This old path connection resembles a historic via ferrata and is the first highlight of the hike. Over the Leuk sun mountains, past charming Valais villages, you reach Gampel, where the second stage ends.
From there you continue via stages three and four on the Lötschberg south ramp to Brig.
