Description

Marvel at the Gstaad Dolomites around the limestone pillar "le Rubli" during this hike.
In Rougemont, take the gondola to La Videmanette. At the mountain station, the walk begins almost flat for the first 800 meters. Good surefootedness is required at some points. Afterwards, a steep descent begins towards Les Praz. After another 2.5 km on rather flat terrain with a view of the Saanenland, the steady ascent of 350 meters in altitude back to the La Videmanette mountain station begins. Afterwards, treat yourself to something nice at the La Videmanette mountain restaurant and enjoy the fantastic panorama of the Bernese and Vaud Alps. Transport

The Gstaad holiday region lies in the southwest of Switzerland right on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines. Detailed travel information can be found on the Arrival and Public Transport page on gstaad.ch.
