Description
Hike along the ridge of the Wispile and enjoy the panorama over Saanenland and the view of our 3000-meter peaks.
You can conveniently reach the Wispile mountain house where the hike starts by gondola. Always follow the ridge and enjoy the panorama over Saanenland. At Chrinetritt, the path descends steeply. Follow the path down to the right towards Satteleggli. At the junction (point 1703), turn left to continue. The path then leads along the forest edge towards the valley floor, where it joins the side road Saali-Rohr. Via Rohr, you reach the village of Gsteig, where the post bus stop is located.
Transport
The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly at the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad holiday region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines.
