From Schönried station, walk to the Rellerli parking lot. From there, follow the winter hiking trail to Burstfang and further up to Bergmatte and finally to Grossi Vorschess. After a hike of about 1 hour and 15 minutes, you reach the large wooden [Fondue Caquelon,](https://www.gstaad.ch/planen-buchen/poi/detail/fondue-caquelon-grossi-vorschess) which offers space for up to eight people. Direct access by car is not allowed.
Return: You can hike back the same way to Schönried or extend the winter hike to Rellerli.
Transport
The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey.
