Take the gondola comfortably to the Wispile mountain house (1907 m), where the winter hike starts. Always follow the ridge towards Gsteig/Lauenensee and enjoy the panoramic view. After about 40 minutes, you will reach the giant [Fondue Caquelon](https://www.gstaad.ch/planen-buchen/poi/detail/fondue-caquelon-vorderi-wispile) on the right side. It accommodates up to eight people and cannot be reserved.
**Return walk:** You can hike back the same way to the Wispile mountain station or extend your hike via the toboggan run towards Chrine-Gsteig.

Direct access by car to the giant Fondue Caquelon is not possible.
Transport
The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is conveniently accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and comfortable arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post bus lines.
