Scenic hike to the source of the thermal water with little elevation gain.
Wysse See lies at 2337m above sea level in the hiking paradise of the Torrent area between the Rinderhütte and Restipass. Here you can expect a fascinating panorama over the Alps’ four-thousanders as well as a dream view into the Rhone Valley. The hike leads from the Rinderhütte to Wysse See, then on to Obern Galm and finally to Tschärmilonga. Following the path from Rinderhütte, you reach Wysse See. The ascent rewards you with panoramic views. The outflow from Wysse See runs underground and reemerges after a 40-year journey at the springs of Leukerbad, supplying the thermal baths with mineral-rich and warmed water. Enjoy the hike towards Alpe Obern-Galm which, with its south-facing location, offers a wonderful distant view of several four-thousanders (e.g., Weisshorn, Matterhorn, etc.). Over the beautiful Alpe Tschärmilonga with its alpine pastures, the trail leads to Torrentalp and concludes this panoramic hike.
