Description

The Hannig Trail offers a good introduction to alpine terrain. The intermediate trail features many singletrails, some rocky terrain, and even a ...

The trail starts at the Hannigbahn mountain station, from where the 400-meter ascent to Mällig begins.

From Mällig, a magnificent view opens over the Saastal and most of its four-thousanders. This is followed by an almost flat, easily runnable section up to the point at 2,604 m above sea level, passing Gebidum. From here follows a steep and technical downhill until the path merges into the Höhenweg Saas-Fee - Grächen.

The rest of the trail leads slightly downhill and very flowy through the larch forest, past Senggbodu and Bärufalla back to Saas-Fee.
