Zinal - Arolles Trail No. 9

Above Zinal, between heaven and earth.

This trail offers a magnificent view of the valley floor. Don't let the beauty of Mother Nature distract you too much. Watch where you step as you run.

Zinal

From the Zinal swimming pool, follow the Sierre-Zinal race route in the opposite direction; it climbs steeply up to Lyrec. At the alpine pasture, do not head toward St-Luc; instead, continue climbing for a few more meters. At an elevation of about 2,350 meters, turn right and follow the Swiss stone pine trail. You’ll overlook the village of Zinal for several kilometers before descending back to the village via the Tracuit trail.
